Check before you claim

Before a program counts a charger toward a reward, rebate, or carbon credit, it asks the registry whether the charger already carries an active claim — then registers its own.

  1. Step 1

    Look up the charger

    Hash the vendor + serial locally and query the registry. The public answer is registered yes/no — never who registered it.

  2. Step 2

    Register your claim

    One API call records your program’s registration and its period. Overlaps are flagged as advisory conflicts.

  3. Step 3

    Resolve any conflict

    If two programs claim the same charger, open a dispute. The registry records the outcome — it never decides ownership.
